EPD’s Department Chair, Philip R. O’Leary, was awarded The Ragnar E. Onstad Service to Society Award this week at the UW–Madison College of Engineering Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day. O’Leary received this award in recognition of his work with Camp Badger, a series of one-week, experiential learning camps for teenagers entering 8thgrade. Campers explore many types of engineering and discover how the study of science, technology, engineering, and math can lead to a great career.

The Ragnar E. Onstad Service to Society Award recognizes teachers of engineering who have been leaders in contributing to the solution of society’s problems.
